Jawatan Kosong Mardi - Institut Penyelidikan Dan Kemajuan Pertanian - Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute - MARDI was established with the main objectives of generating and promoting new, appropriate and efficient technologies towards the advancement of the food, agriculture, food and agro-based industries.MARDI is managed and guided by the regulations and policies set by the MARDI Governing Board and consented by the Minister of Agriculture And Agro-Based Industry. In matters pertaining to finance the consensus of the Minister of Finance is also obligatory.Whereas, the Scientific Council ensures that MARDI technical programs attain the highest quality and level of competence.
MARDI was established under the MARDI ( 1969). MARDI research efforts for almost 40 years has produced a new crop varieties and clones , new livestock breeds and methods of management . The latest technology was also produced in the field of food processing and post harvest handling of horticultural products and livestock. ICT technologies are employed in the management and operation of the farm such as precision farming technology for rice and estimation of crop production through imaging techniques . New techniques are also developed for environmental and agricultural resources , particularly water, soil and genetic resources more efficiently .
Other projects Research and Development ( R & D ) contract , the Institute provided technical and entrepreneurial development in the fields of food , agriculture and other service industries. Technical services are in the form of advice , consultancy, technical training , laboratory services and quality certification , product development processes and technology improvements.
Farmers and entrepreneurs adopt technology MARDI has successfully contributed to the advancement of the food, agriculture and agro-based country . This has helped to sustain the agricultural sector as a contributor to the Malaysian economy .
As an organization 's core business of research in science and technology , Mardi provide expert groups in the identified areas of need , and contribute effectively to the corpus of knowledge on a global basis .
All information , scientific findings and knowledge gained from agricultural R & D activities are channeled through publications and conferences and exhibitions nationally and internationally . To ensure MARDI not behind in technological development in the field of food and agriculture at the global level , close relationships with a number of research institutes, universities and networks at national and international level is always expandable .
