Jawatan Kosong JKM Sarawak - Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Sarawak or Social Welfare Department has been upgraded from the Welfare Division of the Ministry of Social Development Sarawak in March, 1993. Function has been developed and deployed in key agencies under the Ministry of Social Development and Urbanisation Sarawak.
At its inception Welfare Division established to address the welfare of taking over Sarawak Welfare Council in a General Assistance and assist victims of disasters, as well as expand its charitable activities by providing the necessary support services in accordance with the changing times.
