Jawatan Kosong Jakim - Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia – JAKIM is the government agency that administers the affairs of Islam in Malaysia. In 1968, the Malaysian Council of Rulers decided that there was a need for a body that could mobilise the development and progress of Muslims in Malaysia, in line with the country’s status as an Islamic country which was growing in strength as well as fast gaining worldwide recognition. In realising the fact, a secretariat for the National Council of Islamic Affairs of Malaysia was formed to protect the purity of faith and the teachings of Islam. This secretariat was later expanded to become the Religious Division, Prime Minister’s Department which was later upgraded to become the Islamic Affairs Division (BAHEIS).

On 1st January 1997, in line with the country’s steadfast Islamic development and progress, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) was established by the Government of Malaysia to take over the role of BAHEIS.

The Malaysian Islamic Centre Complex, which stands proud and majestic in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city, has a history which started since the National Mosque.

The National Mosque, which was officially opened in 1965 by the Third Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Putra Ibni Al-Marhum Syed Hassan Jamalulail, was the foundation for all activities leading to the building of the present Islamic Centre Complex.

The Islamic Affairs Division, Prime Minister’s Department is the new name given to the Religious Division, Prime Minister’s Department.

In the beginning, this division used to be a secretariat in the Prime Minister’s Department. This secretariat was called the Secretariat of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs of Malaysia and was formed by the Council of Rulers in 1968.

Its first chairman was the Yang Teramat Mulia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the Prime Minister at that time, while its secretary was Dato’ Haji Ismail bin Panjang Aris. At first, it was hoped that all the states in Malaysia would enlist. However, during its establishment, two states did not become a member of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs of Malaysia. The two states were Kedah and Pahang. To date, the two states have yet to join the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs of Malaysia.

Jawatan Kosong UMS - Universiti Malaysia Sabah - UMS is the ninth Malaysian public university located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia and was established on November 24, 1994. His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong proclaimed the establishment of UMS under Section 6(1) of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971.

The first campus of UMS was sited at the site of Sabah Foundation Community College (KKYS) on the grounds of Sabah Foundation itself. The first intake consisted of 205 undergraduates, with its residences located just beside the football field, on the compound of Yayasan Sabah.

Initially, the university management office operated at the Malaysian Ministry of Education in Kuala Lumpur. It only shifted to Kota Kinabalu in 1995 by renting buildings to cater to its needs.

In August the same year, physical development began to take place on a 999-acre (4 km²) land, located to the north of Kota Kinabalu City. The first phase of its construction was only completed in 2000.

UMS opened an International Campus in Labuan in 1999, and an Agriculture Campus at Sandakan in 2011.

Jawatan Kosong Perodua - Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (PERODUA) was established in 1993, is a joint venture company between Malaysian and Japanese partners. The company started operations in 1994 and the ever so popular Perodua Kancil was introduced to the Malaysian market in August the same year.

Perodua mainly produces minicars and superminis and does not have models in the same market segments as Proton. They do not design or engineer their main components such as engine and transmission in house. Perodua cars have historically used Daihatsu component designs. Daihatsu held a 20% stake in Perodua at the company's launch, increasing this to 25% in 2001 and then to 35%. Perodua has sold over 189,000 vehicles in 2012, which is its highest ever sales record. Its estimated market share in Malaysia of 30.2 per cent. It is planning to set up a second car manufacturing plant from the planned $770 million investments in the coming years.

Perodua is set to become the largest manufacturer of compact cars in South-East Asia. In October 2005, it had produced a cumulative total of 1 million cars. By July 2007, it is expanding to 240,000 per year.

As compared to Proton, Perodua has been quite successful in its business ventures. Its cars are very popular among Malaysians, such as the Perodua Myvi, which sold 80,327 units in 2006, outselling its rivals best selling car, the Proton Wira then, which only sold 28,886 units in Malaysia. In 2006-2010, Perodua became the best selling car company in Malaysia. In the first half 2011, the table has turn upside down where a highlight of the figures was that Proton had overtaken Perodua to be the best-selling brand this year. It’s been many years since the first national carmaker has been No.1 and though part of the reason was that Perodua’s supply in the second quarter was limited (due to phasing-out of the old Myvi) and also the problems caused by the amendments to the H-P Act, it has also to be said that Proton’s current line-up is its strongest ever and has drawn many customers, noted the core models Proton Saga and Proton Persona. Proton delivered 85,223 units to take a 28.7% share of the TIV while Perodua delivered 79,467 units, a difference of 5,756 units.

Jawatan Kosong MBPJ - Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya or Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is a local authority which administrates Petaling Jaya City and adjoining areas. This agency is under the Selangor State government. MBPJ are responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development and general maintenance functions of urban infrastructure. There are two MBPJ main headquarters: MBPJ Headquarters at Jalan Yong Shook Lin and Menara MBPJ or MBPJ Civic Centre at New Town (Section 52).

In the early 50's, Kuala Lumpur experienced congestion as a result of a rapid population growth and squatters existing in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. To overcome this problem, the State Government identified "Effingham Estate", a 1,200-acre rubber plantation in Jalan Klang Lama to create a new settlement known as Petaling Jaya.

The party entrusted to govern the new settlement was the District Officer of Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya Board before being taken over by a statutory body, namely Petaling Jaya Authority at the end of 1954.

Petaling Jaya made history on 1 January 1964 when the Selangor State gazetted a Township Board with financial autonomy to govern the city.

On 1 January 1977, Petaling Jaya Town Authority was upgraded to Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MPPJ), pursuant to the Local Government Act 1976 by the government. On 20 June 2006, Petaling Jaya Municipal Council was upgraded as Petaling Jaya City Council.

Now, the administrative area of MBPJ is 97.2 square kilometres which is rapidly growing. Petaling Jaya has a total population of over 619,925 people and the number of property holding of 217,930. Petaling Jaya is now known as the leading growth centre in Selangor.

The Administrative Council consists of 25 Council members led by a mayor. Council members are appointed by the Selangor State Executive Council. The Mayor is an officer of the Federal Government appointed by the state administration after obtaining the consent of the Menteri Besar. A mayor works full time, assisted by a Deputy Mayor and Head of the Departments in setting and implementing the vision, mission, quality policy, objectives and activities of the Council. The Council approved a Council legislation draft and forming policies to be implemented by the departments.

The Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA) – formerly known as Malaysian Institute of Maritime Affairs - is a policy research institute set up by the Malaysian Government to look into matters relating to Malaysia's interest at sea, and to serve as a national focal point for research in the maritime sector. Established in 1993, MIMA was incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, as a company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital, with its own Board of Directors.

The Institute takes a comprehensive approach in dealing with maritime issues. Its role is to deal with national, regional and global maritime matters affecting Malaysia. MIMA is therefore expected to contribute towards a meaningful, comprehensive and cogent national maritime policy for Malaysia.

One key task of the Institute is to complement the efforts of the various government agencies involved in the maritime sector by mobilising expertise to assist and support them in national maritime policy planning and implementation. The Institute’s role will be both advisory and consultative. MIMA will provide advice and second opinions to Government agencies and other relevant organisations. The Institute also has the task of promoting the free exchange of ideas on all maritime matters.

Although MIMA is fully funded by the Government, the Institute's charter permits it to receive funds locally and from abroad. MIMA does not believe in working in isolation. Much is to be gained from the exchange of ideas and MIMA therefore offers itself as the national focal point for maritime research institute world-wide to link up with.

As a growing research organisation, MIMA seeks friends and allies as well as intellectual support. At the same time, the Institute recognises the need to upgrade research expertise and human resource development, especially in the marine environment, ocean industries and maritime transport, legal cooperation, and maritime security.
