- Malaysian citizen;
- Not less than 18 years on the closing date of the position;
- Certificate of Education or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government with honors in Islamic subjects and Arabic pass, or
- Certificate IV Thanawi or Sijil Tinggi Agama of full government support of religious schools;
- Pass in Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Melayu (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
