Institut Aminuddin Baki - IAB is the main educational management institute in Malaysia. The main campus is located in Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands, Pahang. It trains people to be school principals

Efforts to strengthen the education system at all levels in the Ministry of Education in the areas of leadership and management began when "Malaysian Educational Staff Training Institute" (MUST) was established in March 1979, MUST is a Training Institute Education Officers initially status is the most of the Teacher Education Division (BPG) of the Ministry of Education at the time.

MUST establishment is based on the Cabinet Office Report to Review the Implementation of Education Policy, 1979 (285)

So far no one local college or educational institution that provides training for officers under the Ministry of Education to enhance their professional status. Currently, most professional officers require advanced training usually sent overseas. This practice involves high costs and the number of officers that can be sent is limited. In addition, the field of study that they follow and the way of thinking on issues of foreign educational orientation. It is not possible to give maximum benefit to the country.

Thus, in the context of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the education system, through improved schools in Malaysia, MUST wishes:
  • Introducing quality education service personnel professionalism as an educator, administrator, and as agents of change in national education strategies, and
  • Systematically develop practices and management plans related to the goals of education in the country where the concept of the changes made are changes planned.

Targeted training programs must cover
  • Planning, administration and supervision of education at the national, state and district.
  • Management staff and managers of educational institutions.
  • Educators and trainers of teachers.
  • Administrative support staff.

MUST be led by Dr.Chew Tow Yow (Principal) and Dr. Mohd. Haji Yaacob Mat Nong (Vice-Principal) at the Teacher Education Division was moved to the campus of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi in August 1979 until September 1980, and later moved to Block 1, Puri Beach Complex, Jalan Pantai Baru, Kuala Lumpur before moving to campus officially in Sri Layang, Genting Highlands, Pahang Darul Makmur in March 1985.

MUST then known as the National Institute of Educational Management in 1985 in line with the rapid development and simultaneously with the transfer of operations to the parent campus itself is located in an area of ??121 acres in Genting Highlands.

On March 14, 1988 the Honourable Minister of Education declared the new name of NIEM to Institut Aminuddin Baki (IAB) as fondly remembered late Baki (Education Adviser Federation of Malaya) in the field of education. IAB goal is to build and develop professionalism in the leadership and management education that will help develop the national education system as a whole.

IAB growing role includes integrated programs at the institutional level, regional, national and international levels as well as special courses on regional and international levels. In addition, the IAB has also embarked run programs MBA Education in collaboration with local and foreign universities.

Kedah Name Origins

For the history of Kedah , there are two other well-known reference of Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa , written after the year 1643 and the date of the line of al Kedah in 1927. Information about the early history of Kedah can be obtained from the elements of Arabic , Persian , Sanskrit and Chinese .

The name associated with Hindustani word " Khadar " which means land suitable for rice cultivation . " Kidara " in Sanskrit also has the same meaning. Another name for Kedah was " tense " in the Persian language means Fort . Narrated that the second King of Kedah to build a city in a place bemama Serokam . " Serokam " associated with Hindustani word " Sarah " which means building and " We " meaning business .

Quaritch Wales conducted numerous archaeological studies have found a site in the city of Kedah in Serokam . Indian elements recorded description " Kataha " old name Kedah was conquered by the Chola rulers of India in the 11th century . Kataha ruled by a man named Sri Visaya . Barbosa , the Portuguese writer who wrote in 1516, stated that Kedah is the center of all kinds of goods trade . Arab ships come from all over to trade . In Kedah there are plenty of black pepper brought out to China via Malacca. De'Eredia Godinho , Portuguese cartographers who wrote between the years 1597 - 1600 provides an overview of the port in Kedah which he filled with buildings made from nibong .

Local elements of the history of Kedah is famous Hikayat Marong Mahawangsa who tells the early history of Kedah . Many historians use this series as a reference, although admittedly many elements mixed with stories out of history. Ibn Muhalhal who wrote in 941 AD mentions " Lost " as the last of the ships docked on the east side . " Lost " is described as a large city that is surrounded by a high wall , full of parks and waterways . " Lost " also has a lot of mines or " Kelian " ore . Jawatan Kosong Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia - TUDM

Jawatan Kosong TUDM - Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) is the Air Force in the Armed Forces. The team is tasked to defend the airspace of Malaysia and equipped with fighter jets and transport.

Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia was formed on 2 June 1958 as the Royal Federation of Malaya Air Force (Tentera Udara Diraja Persekutuan). However, its roots can be traced back to the Malayan Auxiliary Air Force formations of the British Royal Air Force in then colonial British Malaya. Today, the Royal Malaysian Air Force operates a unique mix of modern US, European and Russian-made aircraft.

The Malaysian air forces trace their lineage to the Malayan Auxiliary Air Force formations of the Royal Air Force raised in 1934. They later transformed into the Straits Settlements Volunteer Air Force and the Malaya Volunteer Air Force formed in 1940 and dissolved in 1942 during the height of the Japanese advance over Malaya. The latter was reestablished in 1950 in time for the Malayan Emergency and contributed very much to the war effort. On 2 June 1958, the MVAF finally became the Royal Federation of Malaya Air Force, this date is celebrated as RMAF Day yearly.

On 25 October 1960, after the end of the Malayan Emergency, the British Royal Air Force handed over their first base in Malaya to the RFMAF, at Simpang Airport; it was established on 1 June 1941, in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur which was formerly part of Selangor and the national capital city.

The first aircraft for the fledgling air force was a Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer named “Lang Rajawali” by the then Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman. Several Malayans serving with the Royal Air Force transferred to the Royal Federation of Malaya Air Force. The role played by TUDM was limited initially to communications and the support of ground operations against Communist insurgents during the Malayan Emergency. TUDM received its first combat aircraft with the delivery of 20 Canadair CL41G Tebuans (an armed version of the Canadair Tutor trainer). TUDM also received Aérospatiale Alouette III helicopters, to be used in the liaison role.

With the formation of the Malaysian Federation on 16 September 1963, the name of the force was changed to "Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia" or Royal Malaysian Air Force". New types introduced into service included the Handley Page Herald transport and the De Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou. TUDM received Sikorsky S-61A-4 helicopters in the late sixties and early seventies which were used in the transport role. TUDM gained an air defence capability when the Australian Government donated 10 ex-RAAF CAC Sabre fighters. These were based at the Butterworth Air Base.

After the withdrawal of British military forces from Malaysia and Singapore at the end of 1971, a five-nation agreement between Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom was concluded to ensure defence against external aggression. The Royal Australian Air Force maintained two Mirage IIIO squadrons at the Butterworth Air Base as part of its commitment to the Five Power Defence Agreement. These squadrons were withdrawn in 1986, although occasional deployments of RAAF aircraft continue.

Jawatan Kosong Perbadanan Bukit Bendera - Perbadanan Bukit Bendera or Penang Hill is a hill resort comprising a group of peaks in Penang, Malaysia. It is located in Air Itam, which is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the city centre of George Town. The hill stands out prominently from the lowlands as a hilly and forested area. Penang Hill is also known by the Malay name Bukit Bendera, which refers to Flagstaff Hill, the most developed peak.

Penang Hill is one of the oldest colonial hill station established by the British during their time in Malaysia. Explored in the late 18th century, a horse trail was cut by the Waterfall Gardens (present day Penang Botanic Gardens) to the summit of the hilly spine of Penang, allowing the British to escape from the chaos of George Town to the cooler climate on the hill.

Penang Hill comprises several hills including Strawberry Hill, Halliburton’s Hill, Flagstaff Hill, Government Hill , Tiger Hill,and Western Hill. The highest point of this range is at Western Hill, with an elevation of 833m (2,723ft )above sea level. The range also serves as the largest water catchment area on the island, and a number of tributaries to major rivers in Penang.

The earliest mode of transport to the hill was via horses, or a system called ‘doolies’, where masters were carried up the hill on special sedan chairs. To further explore the potential of the hill, systems of bridle paths were cut by Indian penal servitude prisoners for the establishment of more bungalows on the hill.

The Penang Hill Funicular Railway was the second mode of transport established for access to the summit. The first railway was constructed in 1901 and completed in 1905 but was rendered useless, due to technical faults. A second railway was commissioned in 1909, and works for the second line started in 1914 with a budget of 1.5 million Straits Dollars. On 1st January 1924, the 2,007m long funicular railway was officially opened by then Governor of Straits Settlement, Sir L.N.Guillemard. The last upgrade was in 1977, before a complete overhaul of the system in 2010.

SESB generates, transmits and distributes electricity. It is the only power utility company in Sabah supplying electricity distributed over a wide area of 74,000 sq.km. As of December 2012, a total of 486.485 of which 83% of the customers are domestic customers contributing only 27% of the sale.

The SESB installed capacity (excluding IPP) of the Sabah Grid which supplies electricity for major towns from Federal Territory Labuan to Tawau is 448.7 MW and the maximum demand is 830 MW (as of December 2012).

The Sabah Grid is made up of 66kV, 132kV and 275kV which links up all major towns in Sabah and Federal Territory of Labuan. As of March 2011 the total length of transmission line in Sabah is 3,263 km.

The forecast demand growth of electricity is in a region of 7.7% per annum up to the year 2010. In order to support the growing demand, various generation, transmission and distribution projects will be implemented.

Majlis Daerah Raub or Raub District Council was established through Pahang Darul Makmur government gazette on 04 June 1981 Jilid 34/12, No. Gn 339, No Town.Pw 1236 effective on 01 July 1981. It has an area of 110.31 kilometres sq. Due to this the total council area has been increased to 977.207 kilometres sq.

District Council area Raub has been broadened by taking Bukit Fraser area and other area in Raub district except forest reserve area effective on 07 November 1997 through Pahang Darul Makmur Government gazette dated 31 December 1998, Jilid 51/27, No GN 1082, Plan NO. PW. 3270.

Beside that, some changes had been made towards Raub District Council organization where before this operation is placed under departments.

According to stories told by the old folks in this district, Raub was opened for the first time in the 18th century. The story goes that two young men, together with their father were travelling through the jungle alongside a stream. After travelling for a while, they arrived at a spot where the water was obstructed by a dam.

As soon as they arrived, the father told his sons that it was a perfect spot to rest. The sand by the stream was very clean. The young men agreed with their father’s decision. They then started to clear the area. They cleaned up the surroundings and built a hut. Every day the three men went into the jungle to look for cane, resin, rubber, jelutung (Dyera costulata) wood and etc.

They also gathered shoots that grow wild near the dam for food. The men cleared the sand near the dam with their hands (meraup in Malay). Every time they meraup, they got gold. Because there was a lot of gold and it was easily gotten, just by meraup with their hands, it was believed that they named the area “RAUB”.

Since then, they continued to look for gold. The original place where they found gold is now the Raub District Council’s Field. That was how the story goes. However, if the name Raub originated from the word meraup, there is a slight difference in its spelling. The word meraup is from the verb “RAUP” but it is spelled “RAUB”. Nevertheless, due to its pronunciation in the local dialect, it may be more suitable to be spelled as “RAUB” than “RAUP”.

But after World War II, the rapid development of Seremban town where changes to the changes forced the Board of Health of limited activity turned into a Town Board Government Gazette No. 143 dated 12th. January 1946 until 1953 when it was upgraded to Seremban Town Council. Chairman of the Seremban Municipal Board after the war was an English officer, LHN Davis and Seremban District Officer and Secretary of the Town Board was YM Raja Azman Bin Raja Sir Chulan.

The date 1953, the Constitution of the Seremban Municipal Board was abolished by the Kings through the Government Gazette No. 262 dated 14th. April 1953. Comply with Section 51 (1) of the Local Authorities Elections Ordinance, 1950, the first local government elections were held on 22. August 1953. Administration Seremban Town Council at that time often interchangeably in the current political atmosphere in Seremban. Seremban town was divided into four constituencies of the perimeters, the "Lake", the jaw and the Carrot. Here is a list of the Chairman or President of the Seremban Municipal Council from 1953 - 22. July 1965. On 23th. July 1965, Seremban Municipal Council administration was taken over by the Hon. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent

Jawatan Kosong PPAPP - Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Pulau Pinang - PPAPP or The Penang Public Library Corporation (PPLC) started its services in January 1973 after it took over the management of Penang Library, the first subscription library in Malaysia since its services started in 1817. Enactment PPAPP 1972 that was passed by the Penang State Legislative Assembly on the 7th August 1972 specifies that PPLC is the Corporation to provide library services and facilities to the public in Penang and to further increase the use of information and library materials in the state.

The Penang Public Library Corporation now has a network of electronic libraries that is able to cater to the needs of the Penang public and at the same time manages to narrow the gap between the information rich and the information poor where all libraries are connected on line. Presently the corporation has one (1) central library in Seberang Jaya, five (5) branches that are in George Town, Balik Pulau, Bukit Mertajam, Jawi and a Children's Library in Scotland Road, George Town. There are two (2) town libraries, each in Bagan Ajam and Simpang Ampat and Three (3) more ini shopping complexes that is in KOMTAR, Mayang Mall in Bayan Baru and AEON Seberang Perai City. The Corporation also has a network of cyber village libraries spread all over Penang totaling fourty eight (48) and another thirty three (33) village libraries funded and built by the National Library Malaysia.

Alongside these static libraries, the corporation has twelve (12) mobile libraries making stops at places without a village library. Two (2) of these mobiles libraries have been renovated and modified to the needs of disabled persons. Compared to the other mobile libraries. these two mobile libraries have some differences in terms of its collection and games. This is one of the way the corporation hopes to service the public with due regard to the disabled so that this special user group will not be left behind in getting information and knowledge.
