Jawatan Kosong Marsah - Establishment of Kolej Pengajian Islam Johor or Islamic Studies College Johor ( MARSAH ) is the brainchild of a group of senior teachers Ma'ahad Johor believe that an effort should be made ??for the continuation of the Johor State Religious education system can be realized by upgrading education in Johor Ma'had to study the lecture by having twin lecture program with the University of Al - Azhar .

Based on information received from peers that the Kedah State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Al - Azhar Al -Sharif that led to the establishment of an institution of higher learning ( IPT) which runs twinning programs in the fields of Sharia Islamic , Arabic Ushuluddin and where graduates of SOFT IPT will continue their studies in their final year at the University of Al - Azhar .

Believe that this move will benefit children Johor besides defending the students who are in the field of religious studies , senior teachers are developing their views on education division Johor Religious Department , who was led by YB Dato 'Hj M.Tahrir bin Dato 'Hj Shamsuddin . Teachers are the unsung heroes of this are: -

Taking advantage of a visit Rector of the University of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif to the invitation Ma'ahad Johor State Islamic Religious Council on June 15, 1997 The Johor Religious Department of Education has developed an application to the Rector of the University of Al - Azhar Al -Sharif to upgrade education in Ma ' Sunday Johor with twin lecture program organized by the University of Al - Azhar Al -Sharif . 

Based on feedback from the university postif , YB Dato 'Hj Abdul Kadir bin Annuar , Chairman of State Islamic Affairs at the time, representing the Chief Minister of Johor was leading a delegation of the state to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Al - Azhar Al - Hang in Kedah SOFT and thus establish an institution of higher education ( IHE ) to implement a double lecture program with the Faculty of Al - Dirasat Al - Islamiah Wal ' Arabiah on the 11 November 1997 with the name of the Centre for Islamic Studies Arabic ( MARSAH ) or " Markaz al - Dirasat wa al- Islamiyah al - ' bi Arabiah Wilayati Johor " . This name through some changes that eventually saw the registration of these institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia using the name " ISLAMIC STUDIES COLLEGE JOHOR ( MARSAH ) " and thus are accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency ( MQA ) in all courses conducted in 2011.
